Exercises to Do While Watching TV

Here are some easy exercises you can do while watching your favorite TV show!

1. Fidget - Just moving around a little bit when you're sitting down watching TV or sitting at the desk may not seem like it will help at all, fidgeting around can burn up to 350 more calories per day.

2. Move Exercise Equipment in front of the TV - While you're watching your favorite show, you could be walking on a treadmill or sitting on a stationary bike.

3. Create your own training circuit around the area of your TV- You can designate certain areas of the room with different exercises such as squats, pushups, or weights.

4. Do pushups during commercials - During commercials, see how many you can do before your program returns then set that amount as your standard goal.

5. Lunges while watching TV- Perform walking lunges or regular lunges while watching TV. Similar to moving exercise equipment in front of the TV.

6. Walk in Place- Walking in place is an easy option to while watching TV. All that is needed is to march your legs up and down while using commercials as a break period.

7. Squats - Squats can be done in a place or against a wall in sitting position. They can be done during commercials.

8. Crunches- Like the squats, crunches are easy-to-do ab exercises that can be done during commercials!

9. TV exercise channels - Follow various TV exercise programs that can be found on various cable channels.

10. Switch up routines - Do you only watch the news or dedicate your time only to animal channel? Of course not! Just like your TV choices, your exercises should vary and change to work different muscles. You can set up a set of exercises made for each type of TV show!
